Dance has been a part of Aimee’s life since she was a little girl. She started dancing at JMBS at the tender age of 4 and her passion for the art grew quickly. Aimee has trained in many areas of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, character ballet, and modern. She danced the roles of Clara, Snow Queen, Arabian Queen, and Reed Flute during her studies at JMBS. Aimee had the opportunity to perform with Ballet West in their Nutcracker Ballet under the direction of Bené Arnold and performed several places with the JMBS Elite Performing Troupe including Universal Studios, Tuacahn Amphitheater, and many other places in the community. She has continued her dance education at Weber State University, Dance Teacher Web Live, and various other teacher workshops.

As much as she loves performing, she believes her true calling is as an educator and choreographer. Aimee has been an instructor and tap specialist at Julie Moffitt Ballet School for over 10 years.

For several years Aimee pursued an education and career in interior design, but quickly realized that she could not give up her passion for teaching. She decided to continue her career at JMBS as the assistant director and has absolutely loved getting to know the families and parents of Julie Moffitt Ballet School better through that role. She loves the challenge of modifying and creating new pieces for JMBS's annual Nutcracker Ballet, as well as their spring recitals each May.

Aimee believes that the life lessons taught in the studio are priceless and wants to give her students the chance to learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment where they are free to express themselves while still being accountable for their own progression and successes.

"Dance, in all of its forms helps people to connect with, experience, and share their emotions with the world around them. Whether it is in quiet studies, weekly class, dress rehearsals, or on stage performing for large audiences dance allows artists to be the most honest and vulnerable we possibly can be."

She is forever grateful to Julie for giving her a second home and for allowing her for freely create and grow along with her students. Through teaching and mentoring she hopes to pass on her love and passion for all forms of dance to the students and parents at JMBS for many years to come!
